Happy Tuesday!
I have some exciting news for you.
Ascendant will be coming to Kickstarter in exactly TWO WEEKS on July 5th, 2022
To raise some excitement for the crowdfunding launch I will be sharing different character spotlights, world lore, and more on my Instagram @yorkspeppermint
To give you all a heads up I will also be sharing some cool things exclusively here in regards to the book, but don't worry, I will keep it at a minimum, so as not to annoy you.

You are the first to ever place eyes on the Ascendant map of the High North. Much of the novel takes place on this frigid continent and thus this is one of the two maps to be included in the novel. Culturally, the High North is loosely based off of Iceland, Russia, and the Arctic Circle.
SOME FUN FACTS:
The High North is abundant in Iron, Coal, Fish, Natural Gas, and Soil. These natural boons are what allowed Hasbal to reach an expedited path towards modernity. Had the Lord Prime not placed a halt on innovation many scholars believe the City of Lights would have become the epicenter of scientific discovery.
While weak in military might, the Three Segionarys have managed to retain power due to geographical barriers. Steep mountains and year-round snowfall make the conquest of these loose feudal powers a logistical nightmare.
NEXT TIME. . . .
Tea plays a pivotal role in Hasbian culture and is an important ritual in the lives of its citizenry. Next email I will share a bit more about that ritual, the inspiration behind it, and how you can recreate an authentic Hasbian tea at home. . .
Tearth-Biala was long thought uninhabitable due to the island's belching volcano. It was seen by the mainlanders as a curse that only those of the Deep would wish to visit. So when a vessel was thrown upon its rocky shores one could only imagine the crew's surprise at discovering an entire civilization. Volcanic heat, rich soil, and heavy rains combine to create a trifecta of abundance, perfect for life.
